Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how to cancel your Roomspo subscription, request refunds, and manage your billing.
1. Subscription Plans Overview
Roomspo offers monthly subscription plans with recurring billing:

Studio
$129/mo
400 credits/month
All plans renew automatically on a monthly basis. Credits are allocated at the start of each billing cycle.
2. How to Cancel Your Subscription
✅ Easy Cancellation Process
You can cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe billing portal:
Access Billing Portal
Go to the Studio page and click "Manage Subscription" or visit your account settings
Cancel Subscription
In the Stripe portal, select "Cancel subscription" and follow the prompts
Confirmation
You'll receive an email confirmation of your cancellation
Alternative: Email us at billing@roomspo.com and we'll cancel your subscription within 1 business day.
3. When Cancellation Takes Effect
- •End of Billing Cycle: Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
- •Continued Access: You retain full access to your subscription and remaining credits until the end of the paid period
- •No Future Charges: You will not be charged for subsequent billing cycles
- •Credit Expiration: Any unused credits expire when your subscription ends
Example:
If you subscribe on January 1st and cancel on January 15th, you'll have access until January 31st. You won't be charged on February 1st.
4. Refund Policy
4.1 General Refund Policy
Standard Policy: Subscriptions are non-refundable. When you cancel, you retain access until the end of your billing period, but no refund is provided for the current month.
4.2 Refund Eligibility
We may provide refunds in the following circumstances:
- ✓Technical Issues: If our service is unavailable for more than 48 consecutive hours due to our fault
- ✓Billing Errors: If you were charged incorrectly or multiple times in error
- ✓First-Time Subscribers: 7-day money-back guarantee for first-time subscribers who have used fewer than 5 credits
- ✓Unauthorized Charges: If your account was compromised and charges were made without your authorization
4.3 Non-Refundable Situations
- ✗Change of Mind: Refunds are not provided if you simply change your mind after subscribing
- ✗Used Credits: No refunds for credits already used to generate images
- ✗Dissatisfaction with Results: AI-generated results vary; dissatisfaction with output quality is not grounds for refund
- ✗Account Termination: No refunds if your account is terminated for violating our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy
- ✗Partial Months: No pro-rated refunds for partial billing periods
5. How to Request a Refund
📧 Refund Request Process
If you believe you're eligible for a refund:
- Email billing@roomspo.com with subject "Refund Request"
- Include your account email address
- Explain the reason for your refund request
- Provide any supporting documentation (screenshots, error messages, etc.)
Response Time: We review refund requests within 3-5 business days and respond via email.
Processing Time: Approved refunds are processed within 5-10 business days and appear on your original payment method.
6. Credit System & Expiration
6.1 How Credits Work
- 1 Credit = 1 Image: Each AI-generated room design costs 1 credit
- Monthly Allocation: Credits are added to your account at the start of each billing cycle
- Real-Time Balance: Your credit balance is displayed in the Studio
6.2 Credit Expiration
⏰ Important: Credits Do Not Roll Over
- Monthly Reset: Unused credits expire at the end of each billing cycle
- No Carryover: Credits do not accumulate or carry over to the next month
- Use It or Lose It: Make sure to use your credits before your billing cycle ends
- Cancellation: Credits expire when your subscription ends (no refund for unused credits)
6.3 Credit Refunds
- Failed Generations: Credits are automatically refunded if image generation fails due to system errors
- User Errors: Credits are NOT refunded for failed generations due to invalid images or prohibited content
- No Cash Value: Credits have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for money
7. Plan Changes & Upgrades
7.1 Upgrading Your Plan
- Immediate Effect: Upgrades take effect immediately
- Pro-Rated Billing: You're charged the pro-rated difference for the remainder of the current billing cycle
- Credit Allocation: You immediately receive the full credit allocation for the new plan
7.2 Downgrading Your Plan
- End of Cycle: Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle
- No Refund: No refund for the difference between plans
- Credit Adjustment: Your credit allocation adjusts to the new plan at the next billing cycle
8. Payment Issues
8.1 Failed Payments
If your payment method fails:
- We'll attempt to charge your card up to 3 times over 7 days
- You'll receive email notifications about failed payments
- Your account may be temporarily suspended after repeated failures
- Update your payment method in the Stripe billing portal to restore access
8.2 Disputed Charges (Chargebacks)
Please contact us first: If you have a billing issue, contact billing@roomspo.com before disputing charges with your bank. We're happy to resolve issues directly.
Chargeback Policy: Chargebacks may result in immediate account suspension. A $25 chargeback fee may apply if the dispute is found to be invalid.
9. Free Trial Policy
- 1 Free Render: New users receive 1 free AI-generated image without payment information
- No Credit Card Required: The trial does not require payment information
- One Per User: Limited to one trial per email/device combination per 24 hours
- No Refunds: Free trials are not eligible for refunds (no payment made)
